Michael O’Haver is in his sixth season as head baseball coach after having previously served two seasons as an assistant baseball coach for Truman State University.
O’Haver was the third-base coach and worked with both the catchers and hitters. Prior to arriving at Truman, O’Haver served as a Missouri high school baseball head coach for seven years.
He compiled a career record of 64-46, and led teams to the Tri-County Conference Championship in 2004 and the Show Me Conference Championship in 2007. In 2005, his team was District Champions, and in 2004 he received Tri-County Conference Coach of the year.
As a college baseball catcher, O’Haver was a four-year letter-winner at Pittsburg State University from 1996-1999. The Gorillas had reached the NCAA Regional all three times between 1997-1999. In 1997, O’Haver helped the program set the school record at 39 wins and, in 1999, Pittsburg State captured its first MIAA title and ended the season 16th in the Nation, one game away from reaching the Division II World Series.
O’Haver graduated from Kirksville High School in 1995, where he was a member of the Missouri Class 3 Baseball State Championship team.
O’Haver has a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from University of Central Missouri and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from William Woods University. He and his wife Stacy have two sons, Grant and Jaden, and reside in Edina.
Assistant Coach
Dave Cameronis in his third year as assistant coach at Knox County. Previously, he was a head baseball coach at Brashear and La Plata. During his time at Brashear (1999-2003) his record was 73-21 (28-4 conference) and won two conference championships. While at La Plata (2003-2006) his record was 46-23.
Cameron graduated from Adair Co R-II, Brashear in 1996 and while a player there he was an All-Conference winner for three straight years. After high school he played baseball at NCMC from 1996-1999.
He and his wife Kori have two sons, Issac and Bryce, and reside in Edina.
